120 volts. 520 watts. Heats up quickly. Handle doesnt get hot. Regular size bread and regular size cheese slices fit perfectly. Makes a perfect grilled cheese. Its shipped in the box it cones in but thats ok because it has plenty of styrofoam padding and the unit isnt fragile. Not sure what everyone is complaining about. Well worth 22 dollars.Made cookies with it. Turned out fine. Also makes pretty good french toast. And makes pretty good cinnamon toast.edit: Had it a few months now and It still works fine. In my opinion this is actually a pastry maker that has been rebranded as a sandwich maker. It works fine as a grilled cheese maker but I prefer to not close it completely when making grilled cheese so it doesnt smash the bread. (smashing is only necessary if you are making a pastry.) Pastries turn out ok but cleanup is a real pain.
