We were looking forward to “Pearl Ice” and the wait was worth it! The ice machine produces ice very rapidly and has an auto shut off. It has a scoop and a scoop holder inside the unit for easy in dispensing ice. The machine is quite making a little noise when our drain pump is in use. If you are installing in a basement you will likely need a drain pump which is specifically designed for the unit, but sold separately. We had to have the drain professionally installed, but it works great. If you are in on a level where drainage flows downward naturally you likely won’t have to purchase the drain pump. We love it!
