Finally found this on Amazon. I only needed for Dosa. Very easy to use. But heat doesn't work evenly. My dosa still stays light colored in the middle. It gets crispy on the sides. Useful tool, easy to clean.My review of my original purchase, I only gave 3 stars, as I was disappointed with the heating and also the control knob coming off after the first use. I did not contact the shipper regarding this, as I felt I could deal with the situation. However, the shipper actually reached out to me via email when they read my original review, and I felt Ann, who emailed me, was very genuine in expressing that the company wanted to rectify the situation, with either a replacement or refund. I did agree to a replacement item, which arrived within two days. The crepe maker arrived in very good condition. I again followed the instructions for first-time use. The control knob was intact and did not come off, as the first unit had. This unit did seem to heat more evenly as well. I made a batch of crepes, and they turned out very well. Of course, it does take a bit of practice using the wooden "T" that is provided, to spread the batter around. But it certainly cooked the crepes nicely. The wooden spatula easily flipped the crepes, and I had no sticking of the food on the crepe maker. The pictures I have included were from the first batch of crepes; far from perfect but they were tasty when finished. My original reason for buying this appliance was to make Norwegian lefse, and based on my new experience with the replacement, feel it will work just fine. I also plan on trying to make "silver dollar" pancakes on it as well. I found Ann, representing the seller, seemed genuinely concerned that I have a unit that worked as described on Amazon, and in that regard, I am very pleased with the service the seller gave me, as well as the replacement item. Thank you.I purchased this to make Bluey pancakes for my little one. I’ve yet to do so, as I’ve been using it to make omelettes, crepes, even burgers! The surface is non stick, so wooden or plastic cookware is recommended as metal will destroy the coating. This is perfect to bring along for hotel stays or as a gift for those headed off to college. I plan on bringing it along on camping trips as long as the campsite has electrical access. Crepes Suzette at the campground? It is quick to heat up and easy to clean.The one suggestion I would make is to maybe have a suggestion of amount of liquid batter to use for the crepe. As I struggled with my first couple crepes, making them too big, too small, too thin, etc. maybe a suggested amount of liquid would be helpful.I gave this item 4 stars for easy to use because the heat knob was a bit confusing to figure out. On the knob it has a 0, light and dark mode. The one negative is the light and dark mode. It’s kinda confusing and I had to read the instructions over again. I would suggest doing 1 heat flame for lower temperatures and 3 heat flames for highest temperature.Other than that, will definitely get these for gifts! And an easy delicious portable way to make crepes!Very efficient and convenient. Heats up instantly. It’s the perfect crepe maker, breakfast griddle, food warmer. Truly non-stick. Reviews saying that there is no off button is mistaken since it doesn’t heat up at all until you turn the knob to the right. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed. I use mine every single day. Give it a try…it’s easy.I have not been able to review the product. I turned the temperature knob and the knob broke. Unable to make my first crepe on this unit. I did contact the company and they said they will replace the unit. I will update again after I receive the new unit.UPDATE: Received replacement crepe maker. Great customer service! We made crepes tonight. Takes a couple of tries to get just the right amount of batter and I have not yet mastered the tools. But, we had a blast making crepes. For fillings, we used berries, bananas, peanut butter, and nutella. When the kids aren't around I will try other foods and practice my crepe flipping. Cooks evenly, easy to wipe clean. Gets very hot!
