So this is the...third? Soil blocker I've gotten from Amazon. Thank goodness for that return policy because I had to sift through some garbage to find this gem. I know a lot of times people equate the weight of a metal to being a quality item. If that's you, this will not disappoint haha it's HEAVY duty for sure. I'll start with listing some of the cons, and honestly, there aren't many.Cons:1. Doesn't come with instructions. But let's be real, if you're on Amazon buying a SOIL BLOCKER, you already know what you're getting yourself into ? and if you really can't figure it out, there is an abundance of information on tiktok, YouTube, and google, my friends. If you are a competent person, you can use this fun little contraption.2. If you are older or perhaps have arthritis, this thing is pretty heavy. You need to apply a decent amount of pressure as well to get the blocks to form properly. But again, this is probably going to be a consistent issue with ALL soil blockers, and not unique to this product. I personally like the weight and feel comfortable applying a LOT of pressure to form perfect little forbidden brownies ?I mean honestly, that's it. If I come across any other cons, I'll be sure to come back and update my review. Onto the pros ♥️Pros:1. It's a great price that comes with all of the necessary attachments for successful soil blocking.2. If you have the ONLY MICRO MINI SOIL BLOCKER IN EXISTENCE, those fit perfectly into the blocks this one makes with the square dibble attachments when it's time to bump them up. It probably won't be flush with the top of the block, but all that really matters is that the roots get buried, right? So it works well for that without having to buy another $45 soil blocker from the same company.3. The metal feels nice and smooth in the hands, sturdy, not a ton of resistance when expelling the blocks, comfortable handle.4. Other soil blockers I have tried from here made taller, rectangular prism shaped cubes. And I feel like when I started seeds in them it was really hard for the heat from the heat mat to make it all the way up the cube to help the seed germinate. This one makes perfectly stout little cubes. I love it.
