Probably will work for some, too glam for my purposes.I originally bought these tongs for grabbing loose tea out of packets and putting it in tea bags. They worked okay for that; a little stiff, but otherwise perfect size and grip. But this morning, when I was looking for a good way to get the pits out of cherries I had cut in half, I discovered that these tongs are the perfect tool for the job! The teeth are the perfect size and spacing to reach in and grab the pit out of the half of the cherry the pit sticks in after slicing the cherries in half and separating.The tongs were of very good quality. They were east to grip and use. Easy to stretch them to size to fit item. East to clean. Good elasticity, you could return them to smaller size grip if needed. I use then for a variety of items like olives and pickles, even hotdogs. Great, you don't have to put up with trying to lock them so they don't spread all over or fall from serving dish. Easy to grip and control.These are great quality! Love them!!! Use them continually!!! And they make great gifts!Yup, I bought 2 of these to use for grabbing pickles in the jar and pulling them out with minimal splashing. I does work. I'm satisfied.I love the size.
