Stainless steel cleats are mounted on the rubber insole, designed to increase grip on snow and ice. If your shoe sizes go between two full sizes, please insert the red insole on top of the inside insole.

The flip-down metal grips grab hold of the ice and help to prevent falls. The mechanism seems to stick once in a while, needs a firm hand. Nice-looking boot. I would recommend, especially for those who live in areas where there’s lots of freezing/ice.
