I was surprised that I liked this watch as much as I do. It is certainly not a Chanel or Tag Heuer. I get a lot of compliments on this watch. The brand is virtually unknown outside of Europe. I have seen these watches in retail shops in Europe for double the price you get on Amazon. The silicon is nice because it is soft and doesn't dig in like steel when it presses against something or bending the wrist, but it doesn't get smelly or dirty the way cloth or leather can. I thought it would be very prone to scratches but so far, there is nothing noticeable (9 months of wear, 4 or 5 days a week). The rotating bezel is useful, and I like a watch with the date. The tritium glow in the dark indicators are almost useless. They essentially have to be charged in direct light and if you wake up during the middle of the night you won't be able to see it, I'm sure of it; I have a Tag Heuer Formula One and it really glows. Very well. It also cost me about 30 times more than this watch. If you really like the look of ceramic watches and aren't planning on spending hundreds or thousands, but you don't want something entirely made of plastic like the Baby G or a Swatch, this is a great choice. Some of them are bright and funky like a Swatch, and some of them are simple and clean. There's one for virtually any taste. It's a great casual watch, not fancy, but for about the same price as a Timex or Casio, it is far more pleasing to look at. And who needs 6 chronometers and digital this or that? If you're looking for a simple, clean, solid, versatile, cute watch in the $50 range, Ice Watch is fantastic. Not as well known as Swatch, but I've been in love with mine and I will more than likely get several more of them this year. I chose the white one because it matches with virtually any choice of clothing, but I adore some of the brighter colors and two-tone colorways. I think these also make great gifts, especially for girls (watches seem to be a symbol of success and maturity, as gifts). -S.K., Zurich, SwitzerlandI've owned this Ice Watch for more than eight months now, and it still looks great and is working in excellent condition. This particular watch is featured as part of the logo of Ice-Watch's main website. This watch is more of a classic design. The Ice-Watch company also offer many colorful watches, and many nice white watches as well. David Guetta's music video "Where Them Girls At" featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj is featured on the Ice-Watch website right now with David Guetta wearing a different white watch - I think it's from Ice-Watch's Ice-White line. Anyways, I've been satisfied with this watch, and I think this watch and brand is cool. The straps are comfortable to wear, and I like how the bezel moves. And I find the date function handy. This watch has a stainless steel caseback and is water resistant. I also love the unique Lego/block of ice case that the watch arrives in. I definitely think this watch would make a great gift for any man or woman because of its Unisex design. I get a lot of nice comments from people on this watch. If you want cool fun watches in white or various fun colors, I highly recommend buying Ice-Watch, Toy Watch, TOCS, and Invicta watches. I have a watch from each brand in different colors. It's truly nice to own a watch from each of the brands I mentioned, and to switch up and alternate the colors with your wardrobe. And each of the four brands I mentioned are nice, affordable quality watches. I give a thumbs up to this watch!The only reason I gave this watch four stars is because I thought the band was a little weird. There is no hinge at the top so it does not lay flat on your arm or when you take it off. It is really not enough to bother me but it might be a problem for some people so look closely at that before you make your purchase. I priced this watch at a major department store (no, I did not pay attention to the hinge problem) and it was $50 cheaper on this website. Thank you for such a nice bargain Amazon!Just received this watch and wasn't sure what to expect given some of the reviews. It came well packaged in a brand new box with a $100 retail price tag on it. It's super cute and comfortable and I love the styling, chunkier look. There was a little plastic piece that was placed around the time/date dial so that the battery doesn't run until you remove that. I know I just took it out of the box, but so far I love it!Love this watch it is everything I expected. I have a client that has this watch in every color and paid $140.00 for each. I was thrilled to get the watch from Amazon for much less. Love it. It does not state what degree of water profing, that might be the difference in pricing. For what I needed it for it didn't matter. Can't wait to buy a different color each month.Bought this watch along with a Toy Watch for the g/f. Returned the Toy Watch immediately, but this one was perfect. I have a feeling the band could get marked up pretty easily, but she does not wear it everywhere so I am hoping it stays in good condition. Not bad for the price.beautifully designed by the Belgians great Japanese automation, but the final execution leaves a lot to be desired. the band does not adjust well to the wrist, attachment between watch and band itself is lousy. it was cheaply manufactured in China apparently without quality control. had I known I would not have purchased as a gift. Amazon should have a disclosure policy of where the products are manufactured regardless of brand.I gave this as a gift and she loves itI've had this watch for well over a year now which I feel is long enough to give a fair review and I love it, it looks good and although I originally got this as a 'day' watch I find myself wearing it all the time.I'm on holiday at the moment which is what's prompted me to write this review since I was swimming yesterday and someone commented on my watch saying that they didn't realise you could swim in a Ice watch. I explained that you can't in all of them but I'd purposely purchased this one so I could and that's what I love most about it, I don't have to stop and remember to take it off.The only problems I've had and these are the reasons for the 4 stars and not 5 are firstly that the strap does discolour slightly which is a shame and secondly at the start of a new month the date isn't always correct which is a nuisance since I never know what the date is anyway so use the date on my watch constantly.These faults aside this is a great watch.I like the watch as it stands out it is light and comfortable to wear this is a replacement as my old one finally gave up the ghost but I have had at least 10 years of use out of it My only gripe is the dial can be tricky to see in certain light conditions.......very, very white. But that is a definite attraction as it certainly stands out on your wrist.....if that is what you want. Certainly it brings a degree of panache (or some would say prat-ishness) to your persona and adds a touch of colour to this age of 'greyness'.Many watches are now very reasonably priced, made in a range of attractive styles and vibrant colours, and a growing trend is to buy a selection of different colours and styles in order to match them up with your attire or as I do with different reading glasses and cords. If nothing else I get fun out of this practice, and have now accumulated an interesting, colourful, and eclectic collection of watches, glasses and cords.This watch fits nicely into my collection, looks good, seems to keep good time, and was very good value.I love this watch but I would have preferred the ladies (smaller faced) one which was too small for my wrist. No choice but to buy the larger one to fit but happy with the look and the qualityNice looking watch, I bought this as a gift for my partner years ago and it's still going strong and looks really nice on.Love the nice fresh white colour, it's robust and can take a knock and is waterproof, it's perfect for the job she does working with children.She's been really pleased with it for a few years now and I think it looks nice on too.So for a great price too, the watch has been a really good buy and really suits my partner and is perfect for the job she does as well.
