When the ice maker in the frige died, we purchased an automatic ice maker. It required that I pay attention when the basket is full. when it needed more water, etc. These ice trays provide ice that doesn't melt the minute it hits liquid. The ice actually can remain whole in my insulated cup. These are easy to make and plenty for a household of 2+.This ice cube tray kit is amazing. My ice stay fresh, does not absorb food smells, does not get nasty-frosty. It is also helpful to keep 3 trays standing perfectly upright - no spill-then-freeze in my freezer. I would buy this again and as a gift too. Love.I tried two other types of trays - silicone and the partial silicone. Those two trays are very hard to get ice out. These trays are the best. Just don’t overfill and as soon as they are turned over - ice pops out. I only use filtered water - not tap. The storage box is a great size. I would buy again.Easy to clean. Easy to assemble. Makes a lot of ice at once.My refrigerator ice maker stopped working.Got these as a temporary substitute.I like them so much I"m not fixing the ice maker.So easy to use. I keep them filled at all times.The cubes come out very easily with just a quick twist on the ends of the trays. So glad I bought them.I bought this after my GE Opal nugget machine stopped working; so far, I like it and find it easy to use. I like that it came with a bin with a lid and ice scooper and the price is reasonable compared to the opal machine.I purchased this item to freeze fruit base for individual juices or punch. Makes it easier for my grandchildren. Just drop in one or more cubes and pour water, ginger ale or carbonated water over them.I do not have an automatic ice maker, so needed something that can hold bottled water to turn into ice. (I don't freeze the tap water for anything other than medicinal purposes. The tap water in my home is nasty!) The three trays stack up on each other so you can fill all with water and load them into the container one at a time. They stack up separately, so there's no chance of freezing together. A very wonderful device for people like me with not a lot of modern-day luxuries. The lid closes on all four sides and helps to keep the ice from outside scents. I've been using it for about a month now, and I am very pleased.I have purchased many ice trays and have been dissatisfied, these were well made and sturdy and the storage container seals very well and holds plenty of ice.
