These tick all the boxes! I walk four miles a day on a country road, and hike on trails whenever I can. This week it was a sheet of thick, kind of lumpy ice with water over it. People were avoiding driving on this road because car tires need these ice cleats and don't have any. First let me tell you that every other pair of these I've used have come off at some point of my walk. These have a toe cap, heel grip, and velcro strap that stay put, exactly where I put them on my boots. This is a big deal as every other type of these I've tried fall off after a few steps. These are not really cleats, but tiny steel crampons with tiny points that bite into the ice, grip, and never slip. The kind with the springs and cleats don't hold up, but hese grip so well you forget you're walking on nasty, treacherous ice. After many miles on them, the little mini crampon points are all still there and sharp. They handle steep icy or snowy terrain too. I just ordered another pair because the rubber eventually dries out and I don't want to face another winter without these!
