I've been looking for decades for ones that will actually hold my hair, which has a very fine, almost slippery texture that makes most hair clips and ties slide out of place. These are smoothly sanded and polished, but the haven'tbeen varnished or coated so they still retain enough texture to grip my hair and hold it in place. I really appreciated the directions for use in the item description, they were very helpful. The carving is beautiful, and I don't know what type of wood these are made of, but it's very solid and smells fantastic! I'll probably be ordering the other pattern sets as well!These hair sticks have an appealing look. They seem a tad bit short and slightly overly smooth to hold hair well, but they still do the job. Interestingly, I find that a regular pencil or paintbrush actually works better in my long, heavy hair. These are inexpensive and pretty. They have kind of a slight incense-like smell to them, but not so much that I wouldn't wear them.Got these for my hair wanted something to hold up my shoulder length hair. Love the different designsAn easy and quick way to tie my hair up. Absolutely thrilled.They are beautiful but really thick for hairsticks. Its pretty hard to stab my thin hair without pulling and tugging. Would love skinnier stick ends.I love these, but I'm giving them four stars, as I can't actually use all of them. Curly hair gets caught in the ones that have openings in the designs. Otherwise, I like the length, and look of them. Wearing my hair either in a bun or French twist is much more comfortable with a hair stick! When using either clips or hair ties, I always end up with a headache, as my hair is long and thick.Very happy with these hair sticks. They're smooth and so no splinters nor do they catch on my hair or bend/slip. The wood also smells very nice.Amazing ! Great quality and well made. Love the designs !
