I've been stewing about how awesome this book is for a couple months now. I've owed Alison a review for just as long. :). I thoroughly enjoyed Sommer's book. I walked into this book knowing little to nothing about the ins and outs of hockey. Many books along these lines focus on the "topic" at hand, using terminology that if you're unfamiliar, it can be daunting. SOMMER DOES NOT DO THIS. Her book was so easy to fall in love with - you end up rooting for all of the characters while wanting to slap some of them too. It has a lot to do with hockey, but don't let that deter you! At it's center, this book is about friends who are family and how messed up life can be.I want to have a drink with Michelle. I want Dawn to adopt me. I want to hug Tessa. I want to have a "come to Jesus" moment with Fitz.I can easily say I'm a Darts fan for life! I literally cannot wait for book 2 to come out!!!Wonderful, lovely job, Alison!
